Taximan shot during robbery

A 67-year old taxi driver was shot in the head and is in serious condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital following a robbery at the Barbados Transport Co-op Society Limited Tuesday night.
Police Public Relations Officer Inspector David Welch said that Horrison Gittens, a driver at the Co-op society was shot shortly after 10 p.m.
Gittens and Supervisor Lynchfield Francis were at the Durants, Christ Church establishment when three men attacked and stole an undisclosed sum of money, belonging to the society from Francis.Welch asked the public who may have any information related to the incident to contact the police. (LK)
