Drugs seized off Carlisle Bay; 2 men detained

Two Barbadian men are assisting police in an investigation following a drug operation last night which netted a large quantity of drugs off Carlisle Bay in St Michael.
Police this morning in a press release stated that around 10.30 p.m. a joint operation involving members of the Drug Squad and supported by the Police Marine Unit, the RSS and the Barbados Coast Guard, led to the interception of a boat eight miles off Carlisle Bay, St Michael. 
Approximately 776.6 lbs of cannabis in 16 bags, along with the boat were seized.
The two men have been detained. (CM/PR)
