SCHOOLS WITH small rolls will not be the casualty of any revenue-saving measures by the Ministry of Education.Apart from the amalgamation of Society and St John primary schools, which is expected to take place within the next two years at a brand new facility, there are no plans to either amalgamate or close schools with rolls of fewer than 150 students.At a time when Government was looking to cut costs, money was being spent on salaries, utilities, security, maintenance and other basic supplies for schools where teachers taught classes containing fewer than ten students. But Minister of Education Ronald Jones has made his position clear on the matter.
