Skeletal remains, cannabis found

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING the discovery of human skeletal remains in a dense, bushy area about 400 feet north of St David’s Main Road, Christ Church. 
The discovery was made this morning by police and Barbados Defence Force personnel during a drug eradication exercise.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch said efforts are on-going to determine the gender and identity of the remains.
The assistance of the public is being sought for any information that may lead to the identity of this person.
The search which began around 5 a.m. also revealed 2 456 cannabis plants in a dense, bushy area north of St David’s Village.
The tallest of the plants was five feet.  A man who was found in the area is now assisting police with part of this find.  (PR/NB)
