Three granted bail

THREE MEN WERE granted bail when they appeared in Oistins Magistrates’ Court today and pleaded guilty to a number of drug charges.

If Barry Jefferson Sealy, 49, of New Orleans, St Michael does not pay $1 000 in three months, he will spend nine months in prison on the charge of possession of 2.28 grammes of cocaine.

He was convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the charges of possession with intent to supply, trafficking and possession of an apparatus.

Najee Dwayne Poleone, of Reservoir Road, Lodge Hill, St. Michael was charged with possession of 83 cannabis plants and a quantity of loose cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and cultivation.

Police say the plants were found in his yard and the loose quantity was found within his house.

Poleone was granted $3 500 bail with one surety and he will return to court on November 25, 2014, pending a pre-sentencing report.

Meantime, 18-year-old Justin Daniel of Clerpark, St Thomas was charged with possession of 30 grammes of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and trafficking, while at the Poleone’s residence.

He was granted personal bail of $1 500 and he will return to court on November 28, pending a pre-sentencing report. (PR/NB)
