THE FIRST IN a series of town hall meetings on the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (BSSEE) will begin next Wednesday, December 10.

An initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, the familiarisation sessions aim to sensitise all stakeholders to the processes involved in the administration of the examination, familiarly known as the Common Entrance Examination, or 11-Plus.

Senior education officer Glyne Price and education officer Everton Briggs will conduct the sessions which will, among other things, instruct persons on how to fill out the forms used in the BSSEE, including those for choice of school, deferral and special requests.

Parents and guardians of children who will be taking the 2015 BSSEE are reminded that the first meetings on December 10 will take place at St Bartholomew Primary School, Parish Land, Christ Church; and George Lamming Primary School, Flint Hall, St Michael.

Meetings for the week will conclude on Saturday, December 13, at Roland Edwards Primary, Battaleys, St Peter; and the Church of God of Prophecy (next to Milton Lynch, School, Water Street, Christ Church).

All meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. The full schedule of meetings is available at www.gisbarbados.gov.bb, in the downloads section. (BGIS)
