St George’s Holder reigns

KIM HOLDER of St George is the undisputed queen of road tennis.

The former national volleyballer won her fourth islandwide crown in succession with consummate ease when the finals of the National Sports Council’s Inter-parish Championships were held on Friday night at the Springer Memorial School.

Holder dismissed newcomer Rachel Smith of Christ Church 21-10, 21-14, showing total disgust with herself when Smith narrowly escaped the ignominy of a sow in the first game.

“I feel great with this victory, but I wanted to sow her for her mouth,” said an elated Holder.

“I am going to work on my fitness, as with my job where I spend all day driving, fitness is the only concern with my game.”
