GOING BACK to full work is not an option for Customs officers at the sea and air ports in Barbados.

This position was signalled by the general secretary of Unity Workers’ Union, Caswell Franklyn, yesterday. His union is representing 72 of the officers who walked off the job last Thursday when they were presented with option forms by Government to indicate if they would be joining the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA).

Franklyn said there would be no scaling down, but if necessary the protest would be escalated.

“There will be no reduction until the matter is resolved,” he declared.  (LK)
