Share post:

ARE YOU WHERE you’ve always wanted to be?

Yes. I wanted to manage my father’s business. I wanted to follow in his footsteps.

What is your biggest professional challenge?

I trust too easily and accept people at face value. I’ve made some big business errors in that way.

What is your biggest life challenge?

Staying focussed.

When you look to the future what do you see?

More challenges ahead for Barbados at all levels, but equally more opportunities to fix our issues starting at the spiritual level.

What is your favourite pastime?

Travelling and teaching.

What is your favourite meal?

Pudding and souse, and grilled fish.

On Saturday nights where are you likely to be?

Home with my husband.

What upsets you the most?

Untrustworthiness and dishonesty.

What is your guiding philosophy?

I try to live by Baha’i principles which are founded on the three onenesses – one God, the equality of true religions, and the brotherhood of man.

If you had the chance to manage Barbados for a day, what would you do?

Ask for a day of prayer and peace, then gather the leaders at all levels to consult on the way forward to empower ourselves above narrow party politics.

Cecilia Elliott-Alleyne is manager of Nature’s Creations.
