ST LEONARD’S schoolboy Chemar Holder and former Barbados Under-19 all-rounder Aaron Jones have been named in the 14-member Combined Campuses & Colleges (CCC) Marooners squad to participate in the 2016 NAGICO Super50 Championship starting Thursday in St Kitts and Trinidad and Tobago.
Holder, a 17-year-old fast bowler, represented the Barbados Under-19 in last year’s regional youth tournament after a series of impressive performances for Guardian General Barbados Youth in the local competitions.
He was belatedly selected for the Barbados One-Day trial matches and was also drafted into the UWI Blackbirds line-up for the C. O. Williams Inter-Parish Twenty20 competition.
Jones, 21, a stylish right-handed middle-order batsman and useful leg-spin bowler, is a former Foundation and Barbados Youth player. He scored two centuries for Massy United Insurance Wildey in last year’s Elite championship and also hit a hundred in one of the Barbados trial matches.
