INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR Rihanna may have taken home the bounty of prizes at this year’s Barbados Music Awards (BMAs), but it was the “King of St George” Peter Ram Wiggins and first time nominee Brad King who stole the show.

After a successful 2015 Peter Ram was again in winner’s row as he copped the most coveted Entertainer Of The Year (male) award along with the Dedication Award during the show at the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex Sunday night.

It was the Soca Bowl all over again as the crowd jumped, waved and chanted “Hey, hey, hey” as he was announced winner, beating out stiff competition from Lil Rick, Red Plastic Bag and King Bubba, among others.

The chants again rang through the gym when nominees for the Song Of The Year were being read, particularly when Ram’s name was announced. But it was Rihanna’s Four, Five Seconds that earned that title, though some members of the audience voiced their dissent. The Bajan songstress and global chart-topper’s also won Pop/Rock Group Of The Year and Entertainer Of The Year (female).
