BARBADOS PRIDE skipper Kevin Stoute says he is not too concerned about his team’s batting in the first two matches of the NAGICO Super50 and is backing his players to come good at some stage.
The Pride lost by nine wickets to the defending champions Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Queen’s Park Oval on Saturday after being dismissed for a modest 161. On Thursday, the Pride struggled before defeating the ICC Americas by four wickets after being set 184 to win.
“Some of the batsmen who got in did not go on to get a big score, but that is how cricket goes. We still have four games to play and we will just go forward with that. It doesn’t make any sense dwelling on the loss,” Stoute said in a post-match interview.
