WHO WILL protect the guards?

That is what dozens of temporary security guards are asking as many are upset after recently discovering that they will have to apply and be interviewed for 120 available Government vacancies.

The vacancies were recently advertised but guards said they were informed that there would be no automatic appointments as happened previously.

One of the affected guards told the SUNDAY SUN: “There are over 150 guards who are not appointed and there are about 40 who are doing over 10 years. We were told that everyone would have to apply and that persons with two weeks’ or two months’ experience can get the job over someone who doing ten years or more.”
