THERE WILL BE no compromise on the matter.
The Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) wants 14 year-old Ellerslie student expelled.
And if there are any teachers guilty of violence towards students, they will be brought to justice.
The union’s president, Pedro Shepherd, confirmed this yesterday as he spoke to the media following a special meeting of the BUT to discuss violence in schools across the country.
“I am saying as I said last week, that no child in Barbados has any reason to spit on or at any teacher if what we are hearing is true,” Shepherd said. (AD)
