EVEN THOUGH DEREK LOVELL displayed some recent behaviour described as “strange”, Fabian Sargeant did not believe that it would end with his sister Kimberly Lovell’s death at her husband’s hands.

As family members tried to come to grips with the double tragedy yesterday, Sargeant told the DAILY NATION that as far as he was aware, there was no indication that Derek had been physically abusing his young wife.

However, Sargeant admitted that Derek, to whom his sister was married for under three years but in a relationship for ten, did display some strange tendencies that were of concern to him.

The murder victim’s sibling refused to go into details about the incidents that caused him to worry about his brother-in-law.
