Jones: Top 10s over with

THE LIST OF TOP TEN students in the 11-Plus exam spawned a frenzy every year, says Minister of Education Ronald Jones.

In giving his reason for removing the list from this year’s Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination results and review, Jones said he does not care about the backlash he has received as a result.

In fact, he stressed there would be no more lists in the future.

“I don’t care about the backlash or the front lash,” the Minister of Education told the SATURDAY SUN after he had addressed the Democratic Labour Party’s lunch time lecture at the party’s George Street, Belleville headquarters yesterday. (HLE)
