MORE TROUBLE is building at the cash-strapped National Housing Corporation (NHC).
And come next month, the Country Road, St Michael Government agency could find itself on the receiving end of action by the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW).
Yesterday, dozens of NHC workers braved the rain to hold a mid-morning meeting with the union’s acting assistant general secretary Wayne Walrond.
At the top of the issues raised by workers was that of an acting senior employee not being compensated for her role, and then being replaced by an outsider after an application process.
This, the union is claiming, occurred despite the worker acting in the role of resource manager for more than a year and being qualified for the job. (AD)
