LASONTA GILL AND DWAYNE MARSHALL were again remanded to prison after another application for bail was denied at the District “A” Magistrates’ Court.

Marshall, 35, and Gill, 26, of Belfield, Jackson, St Michael are charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of Jahan King.

Prosecutor Sergeant Neville Reid told the court that objections had remained the same, whilst counsel Samuel Legay made a renewed application for bail.

Legay said his clients were young people who were not flight risks and there was no fear they would not show up to court. He added that they were people willing to sign bail on their behalf.

The attorney also revealed to the court that Gill was pregnant and also that there was no sure date for the start of the matter.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant denied the application and the two were remanded until August 15. (TKS)
