JUDGMENT HAS BEEN RESERVED in the matter in which a High Court judge froze substantial assets of former CLICO boss Leroy Parris and his company Branlee Consulting Services Inc.

This was the situation at the end of yesterday’s hearing in the Court of Appeal before Justices Sandra Mason, Kaye Goodridge and Andrew Burgess, in which Parris is attempting to have the decision reversed.

Justice William Chandler granted the freeze order on January 27 in an ex parte hearing in the case brought by CLICO’s judicial manager, Deloitte Consulting Limited, against Parris as first defendant, and Branlee as second defendant.

The claim also named the estate of late Prime Minister David Thompson, represented by his widow, Mara Thompson, the executrix, as the third defendant. (TKS)
