And it’s all to do with the deteriorating condition of the multimillion-dollar grass surface at the mecca of cricket.
The Barbados Cricket Association has been forced to shift two matches next month in the West Indies Cricket Board’s regional four-day tournament involving Barbados Pride, because of the poor condition of the surface at Kensington Oval.
The Guyana Cricket Board has agreed to host the fourth-round match at the Providence from December 9-12, and the Windward Islands Cricket Association will now host the fifth-round match at Windsor Park in Dominica from December 16-19, after an emergency letter was dispatched to them on November 24.
