ACTING COMMISSIONER of Police Tyrone Griffith is still holding out hope for young people in Barbados and is suggesting that something be done to make them productive citizens.
He was speaking at a graduation ceremony of the inaugural Prince’s Trust programme in Barbados at Almond Bay, Hastings, Christ Church, on Thursday evening.
Griffith said a helping hand was all that was needed for the potential of the youths to come to the fore.
He described as “amazing” the camaraderie and team work demonstrated after 12 weeks of engagement in the programme. The achievement was even more significant, said Griffith, because Barbados was the first country outside of the United Kingdom to roll out the programme. (YB)
