LOTTERY ENTHUSIASTS have even more to play for.

The Barbados Lottery today announced a mega jackpot of $2 655 000 after adding $2.28 million in previously unclaimed winnings.

That money was outstanding from the January 21, 2016 draw, which was at the time the largest advertised jackpot in five years.

According to a release from Barbados Lotteries, the jackpot has been won nine times this year, including last Saturday, a pay-out of $1 150 000.

Mega 6 Brand Manager Fontana Roach urged all players to make the most of this opportunity.

“While we regret that the January jackpot winner did not claim his or her prize, we are happy to again offer this chance to our many players to become millionaires. Imagine, all it takes is a $2 ticket, and a person’s life can be completely transformed!”

The starting jackpot is $375 000 and continues to grow until it has been won. The Mega 6 jackpot is won by matching all six numbers drawn from a pool of 33. Players can also win by matching three, four or five of the winning numbers.

There are 233 retailers islandwide.

Players are urged to keep a copy of their tickets and tune in to the Mega 6 draws, which are done on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and are aired live at 8 pm on CBC Television. (PR/SAT)
