BARBADOS PRIDE romped to a lop-sided 143-run victory against a below-par CCC Marooners side in their day-night WICB Regional Super50 cricket match at Kensington Oval last night.

Batting first on winning the toss, Barbados amassed 294 for eight in their 50 overs with Jonathan Carter smashing five fours and five sixes in an attacking top score of 79 off 57 balls.

Shai Hope and Kraigg Brathwaite also got half-centuries as Barbados Pride replicated their first round score against the Marooners.

In reply, CCC Marooners lost opener Vikash Mahon and Cassius Burton cheaply to Pride’s captain Jason Holder and never really recovered, folding for a paltry 151 in 44.5 overs. (EZS)
