Paradise to face off against BSA in semis tonight

THIS YEAR’S Emancipation Cup south zone winners Paradise FC will encounter central zone winners Barbados Soccer Academy (BSA) in tonight’s semi-final at the Speightstown playing field.

Northern zone champions Whitehall FC will also face off against south zone winners, and newly promoted Barbados Football Association (BFA) Premier League team, Silver Sands, who easily knocked out UWI Blackbirds 3-0 in their quarter-final matchup.

In their quarter-final matchup, Soccer Academy, who finished third in the recently concluded BFA’s Stag Beer Championship Cup, had a stellar performance when they eliminated northern zone runners-up Cosmos 3-1.

Underdogs and Premier League team Paradise FC, who have favoured several youth players in their first team set up as the BFA knockout finalist, cruised past Checker Hall 2-0 in their matchup. (RA/PR)
