THE BARBADOS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (BYDC) will be taking to the streets of Bridgetown today in a bid to fight gun crime.
BYDC president Roshanna Trim said yesterday that as a part of their International Youth Day celebrations, the council would be asking Barbadians to come to The City and sign a petition for a gun amnesty.
“We are going to head to Bridgetown and encourage Barbadians to sign a petition asking to restart a gun amnesty programme,” Trim said following a multi-faith service at The Museum.
“This will hopefully be with the help of the Attorney General and the Commissioner of Police and other involved entities,” she added. (AD)
