St Michael man remanded on multiple charges

Police have arrested and charged a 23-year-old St Michael man with a number of firearm, ammunition and drug related offences.

He is Jamar Carlieous Browne of 2nd Avenue, Arthur’s Land, Tweedside Road.

He is accused of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of twenty-three rounds of ammunition, unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to supply and trafficking cocaine.

The offences were allegedly committed on November 9 at Tweedside Road.

Browne was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his residence and allegedly discovered the contraband.

He appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today and pleaded guilty to the drug-related offences.

He was remanded to prison to reappear in court on December 11, in relation to the firearm offences and sentencing for the drug offences. (PR/NB)
