The stench coming from Anderson Cherry’s Project Recycle Limited quarry must be gone before Christmas, or else residents will be protesting at the Ministry of Health.

This warning came from Member of Parliament for St George North, Gline Clarke, yesterday as he and residents of the affected areas met outside the quarry’s compound in Lower Estate, St George.

He told the MIDWEEK NATION residents had become unhappy with the smell coming from the quarry, two weeks after a fire put operations there out of commission.

He warned that as the effects of the stench were far-reaching, the issue had now become a “matter of national importance”. (AD)
