One dead in early-morning shooting

One man is dead after a shooting at a bar in the city in the early hours of this morning. 

Dead is 33-year-old Dwayne Forde of Silver Hill, Christ Church.

Apparently people were liming at the Mad Pub Bar at the corner of Combermere Street and Bay, Street, St Michael about 5:30 this morning when a gunshot was heard.

The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle where he died reportedly from a single gunshot to the abdomen.

In a press release the police have said they are investigating this as an unnatural death, and ask that anyone who can provide any information that can assist with these investigations are asked to call Central Police Station at 436-7676 or Criminal Investigations Department at 430-7189, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
