The authorities and some of the Coleridge & Parry School staff are shaping up for a collision, with some teachers threatening to stay away from the northern institution today.

The action follows a similar walkout by some yesterday, four days after the school reopened following “environmental” problems last week.

Yesterday, classes came to a halt once again and Weekend Nation investigation indicated that some teachers left complaining of being sick while others did not report for work. By the end of the school day, about half of the 60 teachers were not at work.

This newspaper’s reports also suggested that some teachers at the school returned home sick on Wednesday, with one having to be taken to a west coast medical facility and given oxygen to assist with breathing. (DB)
