Barbados and the Republic of Ghana are about to become the best of friends.

The relationship blossomed at Prime Minister Mia Mottley’s official residence, Ilaro Court, on Friday, where she hosted Ghana’s President Nana Akufu-Addo for more than two hours of bilateral talks, after which they confirmed they would be co-operating on programmes involving international transportation, education, and renewable energy.

And soon, Barbados will also open an embassy in the West African nation, the first on that continent. (BA)
