Residents in parts of St James and St Peter could experience low pressure or water outages towards the end of the week.

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) will be making a connection to a 20-inch main at St Stephen’s, Black Rock, St Michael, on Thursday and Friday between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. to address the movement of water along the West Coast.

As a result, residents and businesses along Highway 1 may be impacted.

Areas likely to be affected in St James: Prospect, Fitts Village, Appleby, Derricks, Paynes Bay, Sandy Lane, Sunset Crest, Holetown, Jamestown Park, Trents, Porters, Lower Mount Standfast, The Garden, Weston, Lower Crick Hill, Lower Carlton and surrounding districts.

Areas likely to be affected in St Peter: Gibbs, Mullins, Road View, Battaleys and surrounding areas.

Customers are asked to store an adequate supply of water, if necessary, to assist them during the period of planned work.  (PR/SAT)
