Rotary West offering scholarship

The Rotary Club of Barbados West, in conjunction with Diamonds International and Sandy Lane Golf Classic, will be offering a scholarship for the academic year 2019/2020.

Applicants must be citizens of Barbados between ages 16 and 20, who have matriculated at a university for the 2019/2020 academic year.

The scholarship is for study at a Caribbean university, and is in the form of an educational grant worth BDS $5 000 per year for the duration of the course of study.

Persons applying for the award must show evidence of good academic performance, as well as evidence of financial need. Special consideration will be given to areas of study which are considered of high priority to the development of Barbados.

Application forms may be obtained from the Tertiary Section of the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St Michael, where completed forms must be submitted by Thursday, July 25. (PR/SAT)
