Remembrance Day parade on November 10

Barbados will remember the servicemen who lost their lives during World Wars I and II, on November 10 with the customary Remembrance Day Parade and a short inter-denominational service at the Cenotaph, National Heroes Square, The City.

The ceremony begins at 8 a.m.

Several armed and unarmed uniformed groups will be on parade, including the Barbados Regiment, the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Barbados Legion, the Barbados Fire Service, the Barbados Prison Service, the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides Associations, the St John Ambulance Association of Barbados and the Barbados Red Cross Society.

Governor General, Dame Sandra Mason; Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley; Chief Justice, Sir Marston Gibson; Leader of the Opposition, Bishop Joseph Atherley; members of the diplomatic corps and other dignitaries are expected to lay wreaths at the war memorial. (BGIS)
