One touch from a “bobcat” saw Ekins Bowen’s home fall to the ground in a heap yesterday.
And a smiling Bowen said he was happy that he no longer had to worry about the one-bedroom dilapidated house falling on him.
“I feel much better. I know it wouldn’t fall down on me now. It could fall, but probably on someone else,” he joked.
The 68-year-old Checker Hall, St Lucy resident’s plight was highlighted in the July 5 edition of the Saturday Sun. Since then, the Rural Development Commission (RDC) had arranged for him to move into an apartment nearby until December if need be. (RA)
