Incumbent Verla De Peiza has been returned as president of the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) for a third straight year.
Following the two days of voting which were concluded on Saturday, De Peiza amassed 349 votes while her challenger, former party general secretary George Pilgrim got 197 votes.
This morning Pilgrim told Nation News that he has accepted that the people have spoken, and the time has come for the party to unite in a common focus going forward. (CLM)
