West Indies batsman and part-time off-spinner Roston Chase is convinced the Caribbean side will have their hands full trying to overcome a difficult team to beat on home soil and unfamiliar conditions, if they are to be successful on the tour of New Zealand.

Chase and members of the West Indies Test and Twenty20 International squads in the Caribbean left here on Tuesday for the six-week trip.

West Indies will play three T20s and two Tests against the Black Caps on the tour, which also includes a pair of four-day matches against New Zealand “A” by the Test team reserves.

Chase, who has appeared in 35 Tests after making his debut a little over four years ago against India in Antigua, is one of the players expected to excel. (AR)
