It was far from fun and games at the Nature Fun Ranch in Bruce Vale, St Andrew, on Monday as a young former rancher was badly injured.

His mother, Tara-Mahalia Smith, said she was hoping charges would be brought against the ranch after her 14-year-old son was beaten and scalded by a group of six mostly older campers who were looking after the facility in the absence of chief rancher Corey Lane.

The incident left large blisters in the boy’s palm.

However, Lane said while he did not condone what occurred, the reality was different than what was being portrayed. (CA)
