Samantha Jordan and her two-year-old son were finally released from quarantine this morning.

She was met by members of The Steering Committee who have been assisting her.

The story of the 35-year-old mother of three and her son has been trending for the past two weeks after she was placed in quarantine by medical officials when she refused to take a nasal coronavirus (COVID-19) test after she took her two-year-old son to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital because he was wheezing.

Winston Clarke of The Steering Committee called Jordan’s detention “unlawful” and said attorney-at-law Douglas Trotman will be pursuing compensation and damages for her and her son.

Clarke said despite rumours that have been circulated, Jordan and her son never tested positive for COVID-19. (MB)
