New curfew directive

Government has relaxed the curfew for one night similar to what was done for the transition to republic status.

In Emergency Management (COVID-19) Curfew Directive 23 issued today, Government said there shall be no curfew from midnight on December 24, 2021 to 5 a.m. on December 25, 2021.

Last week, church leaders had called for such an ease to facilitate Christmas morning and Old Year’s night services.

In order to accommodate the republic transition on November 29, Barbadians were allowed to be out and about for the historic occasion after Government removed the midnight to 5 a.m. curfew for one night only.
