Stephen Marshall, the son of well-known gospel artiste Sister Magrita Marshall, fell to his death yesterday while picking coconuts.

Around 10:05 a.m. police received a report that Marshall, 54, of Quakers Road, Belmont Road, St Michael, fell when the trunk of the tree he was picking coconuts from in Walkes Spring, St Thomas, broke.

His co-worker Anthony Price said he was devastated by what happened.

“Stephen was climbing the tree waiting for me to assist him while I was attending to the other climber. [Within] a [few] minutes we heard a crash. The tree snapped. I saw Stephen fall right in front of me, so we called for help.”
