Cyclists Joshua Kelly, his brother Jacob and Gregory Vanderpool will be Barbados’ representatives at the 2022 Pan American Road Race Cycling Championships in San Juan, Argentina this weekend.

The three will be among more than 200 cyclists competing at the championships.

Last August, the competition was held in the Dominican Republic in conjunction with the Caribbean Cycling Championships.

At the Caribbean event, Joshua Kelly claimed gold in the men’s 90-kilometre road race as well as silver in the men’s elite time trial.  The elder Kelly was unable to compete at the Pan Am event last year, and is hoping to make his mark at this weekend’s event.  (NM)
