LEROY MALIK GOODING has lost some of his mobility, but his wit and impressive phrasing are still very much intact.
Malik is back as part of the Tornadoes Calypso Tent 2011 cast, after being out of commission because of injuries sustained in an accident.
He will be singing a cheeky number called Me Me. He said the song was about a woman who went looking for firewood on a pasture in the company of a man called Jonathon. She ended up with a prick.
“She run home as fast as she can saying, ‘Help me, help me; Jonathon just gimme a prick. It was a small prick but ah feeling it’,” he explained.
Malik said he was looking forward to being back on stage and performing for fans. He has only one pair of shoes that fits and is seeking a comfortable pair of size 9s and some suits to perform in.
