UPP elects new leader

Everton Holligan (FILE)

Everton “Heru” Holligan is the new chairman of the United Progressive Party.

The party held elections after Lynette Eastmond resigned as the former chairperson.

The other members of the executive committee which will serve until 2020 are as follows:

Vice Chairman - Lynette Eastmond

General Secretary - Wayne T. Griffith

Assistant General Secretary - Raquel Gilkes

Chief Financial Officer - Ambrose Grosvenor

Assistant Chief Financial Officer - Edison Bynoe

Public Relations Officer - Ria Riley

Holligan said he was honoured to take up the post of chairman and carry on the mandate of the UPP. He also thanked the outgoing executive management committee for their work over the past year. (NATIONNEWS)
