Party Pooper

Some party promoters are angry and frustrated at the confusion that once again surrounds getting licences to hold fetes and limes for the Crop Over season.

With the season ending in six weeks, and with one fete being cancelled tomorrow, they are charging that authorities are turning the sweetest summer festival into a sour one.

The issues surround the “lengthy and annoying steps” for the approved paperwork and “getting the entertainment licence” for a venue to hold events.

The Saturday Sun understands that this affects, so far, Puff of Colour and Party Central.

Tamara Arthur of Party Central said her lime, which is not new to the season and held at her home in West Terrace, was unable to get the paperwork approval to start tomorrow. (NS)
