Just when things were starting to look up for West Indies on the field, controversy off the field has threatened to derail the back-end of their tour to New Zealand.
The regional side will now have to make do without Trinidadian Darren Bravo for the remaining four ODI’s after he left the squad yesterday.
The SUNDAY SUN has been reliably informed that the left-handed Bravo left the team for what the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) called “personal reasons” following an incident at a team training session in the nets.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that despite Darren’s older brother Dwayne being the skipper of the One-Day team which faced New Zealand in the second One-Day International earlier today, (Darren) still felt strongly enough to seek permission to leave the squad and return to Trinidad and Tobago.
