The Transport Authority and the Ministry of Transport, Works and Maintenance have released a joint statement informing road users of road closures in a number of areas.

Work commenced today on the construction of an island at the junction of Highway 2A Green Hill and the Lodge Plantation Road (near Pricesmart). Workmen from the Ministry of Transport, Works and Maintenance are currently excavating and motorists are strongly urged to exercise extreme caution when travelling near the worksite.

The public is also asked to note that the left turn leading to Lodge Plantation Road (the road to Pricesmart) will be closed between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., from Monday to Friday for the next three weeks.

The ministry is also advising the public that Briar Hall road leading down to Kendal Hill Christ Church, will be closed from Friday, August 23 to Monday, August 26 to facilitate the construction of a swale in the road. The road will reopen on Monday, August 26 at 10 a.m.

Motorists can access Kendal Hill from the entrance of Briar Hall off the ABC Highway. (PR)
