The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) would like to inform the public that the power outages being publicised by the Barbados Light & Power Company (BL&P) today, have started to have an impact on operations at the BWA facilities.

The BWA relies mainly on electrical generation from the BL&P to power its stations therefore these electrical outages may result in the inability of the BWA to pump water in several areas and a loss of supply to customers through the pipes. (PR)
