The Grantley Adams International Airport reopened around 7 a.m. today, but some flights were cancelled.

Officials closed the airport at noon yesterday after Barbados activated shutdown protocols ahead of the arrival of Tropical Storm Dorian.

Visitors and locals who were scheduled to travel or those who were expecting flights should contact airlines for details of specific flights.

LIAT, the Caribbean Airline, announced the cancellation of flights in the Southern corridor to and from Barbados, affecting Trinidad and Tobago, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Martinique, Grenada, St Lucia and Dominica.

Other flights were rescheduled, but service will continue as normal in the other unaffected areas.

The all clear for Barbados was given at 5 a.m. and all businesses can reopen by 10 a.m. (SAT)
