GEORGETOWN – West Indies Women produced an abject performance to crash to a seven-wicket loss in the third Twenty20 International on Thursday night as India Women snatched a winning 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

Choosing to bat first at the Guyana National Stadium, the hosts crawled to 59 for nine off their 20 overs before India easily overhauled the target with 20 balls to spare.

Player Of The Match Jemimah Rodrigues fired the visitors to their target, stroking an unbeaten 40 from 51 deliveries with four fours.

The result came on the heels of defeats in last week’s double-header in St Lucia, leaving the Windies Women with only pride to play for in the remaining two matches.

Needing a victory to get back into the series, West Indies never looked the part and lost wickets steadily throughout the innings. Chedean Nation and Chinelle Henry, both with 11, were the only players to reach double figures. (CMC)
