It was a strange night of upsets at both venues as the first four fixtures of the National Sports Council/ Youth Development Programme Community under-19 Tournament round of 16 kicked off at Friendship and Speightstown on Sunday night.

At Friendship, two first-half strikes by Kobe Shepherd and Kemar John helped City of Bridgetown to a 2-1 victory over St Philip North while Elvin Griffith’s St Lucy side staged a miraculous second-half comeback to defeat Barry Taylor’s Christ Church East Central by the same score line.

Up north in Speightstown, Jarna Maxius and Rohan Gittens were instrumental in St Michael East’s qualification for the quarter-finals with a 2-0 extra time win over St Michael North. (NM)
